Jasmine McNealy, University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Telecommunication assistant professor, was published in Sports, Ethics and Philosophy on Aug. 10

Her article, “Disparaging Trademarks and Social Responsibility” focuses on a study examining the use of disparaging and offensive trademarks and mascots by sports teams – specifically the use of Native American symbols. The article focuses how these symbols do not fulfill the three principles of social responsibility: human dignity, truth-telling and non-maleficence.
