  • Period of performance: up to 12 months
  • Program background: The objectives of the Public Diplomacy Grant Program are to promote understanding and foster positive relations between the people of Uganda and the United States; reinforce shared values on the topics listed below; and connect high potential Ugandan youth and young professionals (aged 16 to 35) as well as established professional leaders to the American people.  All programs must include an American cultural element, or connection with American expert/s, organization/s, or institution/s in a specific field that will promote increased understanding of U.S. policy and perspectives.
  • Program objectives:
    • Strengthen media practitioners and institutions with U.S. principles and methods for achieving free, accurate, and objective media practices.
    • Strengthen media practitioners and consumers ability to detect and combat mis/disinformation.
