Sriram Kalyanaraman, University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Journalism professor and Media Effects and Technology Lab director, will be a speaker at Economist Impact’s Enterprise Metaverse Summit 2023 on June 28.

The hybrid event, in London, England, and online, is designed to help senior leaders build industry value from immersive experiences. Over 60 speakers will offer insights from forward-thinking companies and institutions who are already gaining value from immersive reality.

Kalyanaraman will be part of a four-person panel discussion, “How Are We Building Better Companies by Integrating Immersive Experiences into the World of Work.” They will discuss how the metaverse impacts remote work and collaboration for geographically dispersed teams.

He will also be the sole-presenter for a “Case Study from the World’s Largest VR Class: ‘The Science of Virtual Storytelling.’” Kalyanaraman will explore the benefits of VR as an engine to drive behavior change, including how effective VR is at putting yourself in someone else’s shoes.
