Event Details:

This workshop will set you up for on-camera success. Industry experts will address professional standards for on-camera appearance for women and men. You will learn the key elements of on-camera performance (hair, make-up, apparel, jewelry and delivery) that will set you apart in the job market.

Veteran talent coach Shirley Brice from Talent Trainers will address the do’s and don’ts and also coach a student live. WPBF evening anchor and Gator grad, Felicia Rodriguez, will share tips, tricks, hacks on how to look good in the field, in the studio and on the desk after chasing news stories all day outside in the elements. Local Prestige Beauty Consultant Sonya Coombs will makeover three students and demonstrate the keys to maintaining a professional appearance all day.

This workshop is not just for tv reporters and anchors (news, weather, sports); we encourage any CJC student to attend. Aspiring producers should also attend so they can learn how to coach their anchors and reporters.

The session will be offered in person and via Zoom. Dinner will be provided for those students who attend in person.
