March 17: Message to Students About Housing

In alignment with President Fuchs’ message, many of you may choose to leave campus for the remainder of the semester. However, we recognize for some students UF Housing may be your permanent address or you may have other extenuating circumstances. We will continue to be open for our residents who need to remain on campus.

  • If you have left campus and have not moved out of your residence hall (collected your belongings and/or returned your key), please wait for further instructions on returning to campus. We will send an email tomorrow, March 18, 2020, with more details.
  • If you have the need to stay on campus, please wait for further instructions. We will send an email tomorrow, March 18, 2020, with more details.
  • If you are currently staying on campus, and plan to move out please visit this webpage for further instructions: https://www.housing.ufl.edu/residence-halls/move-out/

For questions, please email contacthousing@ufsa.ufl.edu or call 352-392-2161.

In the coming days, students will receive in a separate email communication about on-campus housing rent credits/refunds.

We recognize this is an unprecedented situation and moving out/transitioning to your home can bring added stress. Your mental health and well-being are a top priority. If you, or someone you know, may be experiencing distress please contact U Matter, We Care at umatter@ufl.edu.

Sincerely,

UF Housing and Residence Education
