CJC News Students Honored in NBS-AERho Competition

University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications students received six grand prize awards in the annual National Broadcasting Society-Alpha Epsilon Rho (NBS-AERho) Awards competition. CJC had the second most winners of any participating University.

Honorees include:
Alexa Lorenzo, Audio News Package, “Superintendent Controversy” (Tie for first place)
Caitie Switalski and Amaury Sablon, Audio Newscast, “Caitie Switalski Newscast”
Ryan Roberts, Video News Package, “Hermine Preparation in Cedar Key”
Ryan Roberts, Video Feature Package, “The Real Cedar Key”
Ryan Roberts, Jack Kramer, and Danielle Frew, Video Newscast Live, “Hurricane Matthew Special Report”
Di Xin, Short Film, “Lost in Love”

In addition, the UF CJC Chapter received first place for “Most Motivated” and was recognized for community service activities.

NBS enhances the development of college students preparing for careers in electronic media industries and AERho is the honor society for electronic media students. NBS-AERho connects students with practicing professionals; emphasizes industry ethics, diversity, and inclusiveness; and promotes opportunities for excellence in leadership, community service, and production.
