Undergraduate Programs
As one of the nation’s most respected communication colleges, we know how to make dreams of greatness real. That’s exactly how we help students succeed in and beyond “communication.” It starts with renowned faculty and staff, an entrepreneurial spirit, critical thinking and collaboration. This, combined with real-world immersion opportunities, means Gator greatness is within your grasp.
The College is home to four undergraduate departments:

Advertising
The University of Florida’s Department of Advertising is recognized as one of the largest and most respected programs in the U.S. Courses are designed to provide a foundation for problem-solving, strategic thinking and persuasion techniques that drive marketplace communication.
Journalism
Learn basic principles of journalism (reporting, writing, ethics) with modern and emerging forms (social media, video, data journalism, coding) to become effective and compelling storytellers, journalists and communicators.

Media Production, Management, and Technology
The Media Production, Management, and Technology (MPMT) Department combines powerful disciplines to help students achieve their best in the areas of Digital Film and TV Production, Management and Strategy, and Media and Society.
Public Relations
Public Relations is a flexible degree that teaches you how to strategically communicate using a variety of methods. The CJC PR program, which received its Certification in Education for Public Relations (CEPR) accreditation, was named PR Week’s Outstanding Education Program in 2023.
