University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Associate Dean for Research and Public Relations Professor Marcia DiStaso, APR, has been elected to the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) 2023 College of Fellows. She is one of 19 public relations professionals and educators in the 2023 class who have made a significant impact on the profession.

Members of the College of Fellows have at least 20 years of public relations and communications experience and are accredited in public relations (APR), among other qualifications. More than 700 communicators have been inducted into the College of Fellows since its establishment in 1989.

DiStaso was also honored as the Educator of the Year in the 2023 Ragan & PR Daily Communicators of the Year Awards. In 2020, she was named one of PRNEWS’ Top Women in PR and in 2019 PRNEWS named her PR Trainer/Educator of the Year and inducted her into their PR Measurement Hall of Fame.

The College of Fellows will be inducted at a gala celebration on Oct. 14 prior to PRSA’s annual conference in Nashville, Tennessee.
