Translational Communication Research Pilot Project Awards
The STEM Center and the University of Florida Clinical and Translational Science Institute offer annual awards supporting original research on the design, dissemination, or evaluation of translational communication efforts. They are intended to support the growth of interdisciplinary and investigator-initiated translational communication research across the University’s range of scientific disciplines.
Translational communication is defined as strategically adapting information to improve accessibility, comprehension, and usability by the intended audience to improve human health and well-being.
The application period for the 2018 intramural awards is now open. Areas of particular interest for this year’s pilot project include, but are not limited to, projects that have implications for the recruitment and retention of research participants or novel dissemination strategies.
Types of awards available:
- Faculty: up to $10,000 per award
- Trainee: up to $5,000 per award
The STCC/CTSI will award up to $15,000 total through this RFA depending on the quality of submissions and budget availability.
- Letter of Intent Deadline: March 26, 2018
- Application Deadline: April 9, 2018 by 5 p.m.
- Notice of Awards by: April 30, 2018
- Award Funding Period: May 7, 2018 – May 7, 2019
