UF Ranks Among Top U.S. Universities for Study Abroad Participation
The University of Florida is a national leader in study abroad, ranking 7th in Leading Institution by Institutional Type and 5th in Short-Term Program Duration in the 2025 Open Doors Report. Of the 3,472 students engaging in international academic experiences, nearly 85% of these students joined UF-sponsored programs, which offer rigorous academics, cultural immersion, and faculty-led learning across 111 programs worldwide.
Among UF’s top five colleges for study abroad participation, the College of Journalism and Communications continues to expand global opportunities for its students through innovative faculty-led programs and international partnerships. These experiences prepare future communicators to thrive in an interconnected world while gaining hands-on learning in diverse cultural contexts.
