Spend the entire Spring 2026 semester in Milan, Italy, which will host the 2026 Winter Olympics. The program will take place in three phases:
- Phase 1 (from Jan 11-Feb. 3), during which you will take courses through IULM in Milan
- Phase 2 (from Feb. 4 to March 15), led by Sports@CJC faculty, Prof. Eric Esterline and Dr. Roxane Coche, as you learn about and/or work on the winter Olympics and Paralympics
- Phase 3 (from March 15 to April 10), during which you will return to IULM to finish your courses
The first course you will take is Visual storytelling, taught through IULM intensively during Phase 1 only. It serves as a prerequisite to the course taught in phase 2 by UF faculty, during which you will gain valuable hands-on experience in the international sports media industry.
Finally, the last two courses are taught throughout the semester, primarily during Phases 1 and 3. One is Italian media and culture, which will introduce you to your host country, and the other focuses on getting you ready for the job market (teaching about resumes, cover letters, interviews, portfolios, etc.)
An information session will take place early in the Fall semester to provide more information. In the meantime, fill out the interest form:
