Evan Kropp, University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications (UFCJC) executive director of Distance Education, is the co-author of “The Viral Marketing Class You Wish You’d Taken – in 3 Minutes” published on PRDaily.com on June 18.
In the article, Kropp and UFCJC adjunct instructor Dustin York offer an abbreviated version of their course, “The Science of Going Viral,” designed to help busy professionals understand the three best practices for achieving high video viewership.

Finally, they emphasize familiarity, which can breed success and drive virality.
The authors offer other tips for success tips including seek to empower your community, use social listening to find trending internet topics with agile production for quick content creation and build a “character” that people want to watch.
