Santiago Kember and UFCJC Students Present Webinar on HMC Strategic Excellence Awards

Santiago Kember, University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications (UFCJC) Advertising lecturer, co-moderated a webinar with UFCJC students who won the 2025 Hispanic Marketing Council (HMC) Strategic Excellence Award in the inaugural student category for their social impact campaign “Naloxone Awareness and Adoption.”

The panel included Advertising students Astrid Weiner, Valentina Gómez, and Christy Anasa, along with a University of Texas-Austin student who placed third in the competition. They reflected on what they learned from the 2025 experience and offered recommendations on how to incorporate a sound strategic approach and innovative multicultural ideas for the 2026 competition.

In 2025, UFCJC received gold award, followed by the University of Miami with silver and the University of Texas-Austin with bronze.
