Jieun Shin to Serve on the Board of the 2024 HCI International Conference

Jieun Shin, University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications (UFCJC) Media Production, Management, and Technology assistant professor, will serve as a board member for the 2024 Human Computer Interaction (HCI) International Conference from June 29 – July 4 in Washington, D.C.

The conference objective is to provide an international forum for the dissemination and exchange of up-to-date scientific information on theoretical, generic and applied areas.

Shin will be responsible for organizing social media and information processing sessions.

Shin joined the UCJC faculty in 2018 and teaches and researches social media dynamics with a focus on the spread of misinformation and fact-checking. Her research in digital media focuses on social interaction, information flow, and networks.
