Sofie joins the WUFT Media Services team after recently graduated from the UFCJC , where she studied media production. As a student, she worked on several WUFT Media Services projects, including “WUFT Amplified” and “Greater Good,” serving in various roles from camera operator to director. One of her proudest moments was directing the live broadcast/stream of the 2024 UF Homecoming Parade. Sofie also worked as a Producer and Editor for WUFT News. She contributed to coverage of Hurricanes Helene and Milton and the 2024 Election Night, which earning national recognition at the Broadcast Education Association’s Festival of Media Arts. Throughout the past six months as a Production Assistant for Media Services, Sofie has enjoyed working on projects for UF Business Affairs, UF Literacy Institute and UF AI2 Center.
