
Shelby Hodel
Pro Master's
Shelby is a graduate student in the professional master’s program at the College of Journalism and Communications. She graduated summa cum laude from Illinois State University in 2024 with a bachelor’s in public relations and minor in film studies. During her time at ISU, she worked as a communications assistant for the College of Education, communications special events intern at the School of Communication, and director of community engagement for PRSSA. She is also a two-time alumnus of the Disney College Program.
At UF, Shelby has worked as a communications assistant for both the College of Health and Human Performance and UF/IFAS Global Food Systems Institute, communications intern for the College of Medicine, and graduate teaching assistant for the College of Journalism and Communications. After graduation, she hopes to continue creating content and telling stories within the health and/or higher education field.
