Born at Shands Hospital, Kristy returned to Gainesville after spending most of her adult life in Middle Tennessee. Her professional background spans hospitality, management, logistics, higher education administration, and project and event coordination.
In her role at Health Outcomes and Biomedical Informatics, Kristy supports department operations, events, and cross-functional projects. She has a particular strength in bringing structure to complex work—connecting people, information, and logistics to create clearer processes and better experiences. She enjoys solving problems, improving how teams work together, and turning ideas into practical, organized action.
Kristy earned her bachelor’s degree in Electronic Media Communication from Middle Tennessee State University and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Mass Communication at the University of Florida. Her developing academic and professional interests include organizational communication, leadership, and understanding how communication and human behavior influence the way people work together.
