In this role, Justin will help guide social media strategy for WUFT, WRUF, and FPREN while extending the reach of student work in the INC.

Justin began his career as a reporter for McClatchy, producing more than 2,500 stories and generating more than six million page views. He later served as Director of Digital Content at 13WMAZ, a CBS affiliate in his hometown of Macon, Georgia, where he led the newsroom to national recognition with the National Edward R. Murrow Award-winning project More Than a Number, focusing on trauma-informed storytelling.

Justin’s commitment to ethical journalism is deeply personal, shaped by his own experiences with trauma. He has shared his insights as a guest instructor at the Poynter Institute and continues to advocate for inclusive, community-centered journalism.
