Two CJC Online Staff receive QM Master Reviewer certification

Two University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Online Graduate Programs staff have successfully completed the Higher Education Master Reviewer Certification (MRC) course, the highest certification offered by Quality Matters (QM), the official course design standard adopted by UF and the state of Florida.

Assistant Director Tiffany Robbert and Instructional Designer III Alecia Monteiro received the advanced certification designed for experienced peer reviewers to lead official higher education course reviews. It requires extensive online teaching experience and participation in at least two official reviews to master the QM Rubric, coach peers and manage the review process.

The role of the QM Master Reviewer is integral to ensuring the rigor and consistency of the peer-review process. UFCJC now has four master reviewers on the course development team. This team serves faculty teaching both online undergraduate and graduate courses.
