About the CJC Research Lab
The College of Journalism and Communications Research Lab is located in 3219 Weimer Hall. The lab is dedicated to faculty and graduate students’ needs for conducting research that requires in-person space. Examples of studies include lab experiments, psychophysiological studies, interviews, focus groups, and participant observations.
The lab includes three rooms, with a larger room designed to conduct screen-based studies and two smaller rooms designed for face-to-face or “Wizard-of-Oz” research.
Currently, the CJC Research Lab is equipped with the following facilities:
- 12 workstations (headphones available)
- 5 VR headsets Meta Quest 3 with Link Cable
- 1 set of iMotions physiological devices, including facial expression analysis, eye tracking, and skin conductance tools.
- Laptops and iPads for research use
- VR headsets Oculus Go for compatible studies
