Jason Klaer

Jason Klaer was born on January 28, 1994 in Palos, Illinois. Klaer grew up in nearby Oak Lawn, a village due southwest of Chicago. While attending Oak Lawn Community High School, Jason developed an interest in newspaper writing. He eventually became a sports reporter for the school newspaper. Upon graduation, Klaer set off to Bloomington-Normal, Illinois where he studied journalism. Jason covered every sports from men’s tennis to the Chicago Blackhawks. He has had experience in radio, television as well as writing. After graduating from ISU, he accepted a position of a marketing and promotions coordinator with CBS Radio Chicago. He also has experience as a TV news producer. What Jason is most proud of is serving in the U.S. Army as a Public Affairs Mass Communications Specialist for four years. He hopes to both improve upon journalistic and networking skills before graduation. A dream position for him would be to work as a media relation coordinator in collegiate or professional sports.
