Islam, Media and Pop Culture is an elective that addresses how minorities are represented in the media. This discussion-based class tackles issues in the industry and provides the opportunity for students to create film and photo projects while speaking to professionals in the industry.
The class counts as a CJC school elective credit or an outside credit with the UF Religion Department, as well as a diversity credit class.
Islam, Media and Pop Culture is taught by award-winning filmmaker and MPMT Lecturer Iman Zawahry.
