Juan C. Andrade, B.S. Journalism, 1986, is President and CEO of USAA, one of the nation’s leading financial services organizations serving the military community and their families. Previously, Andrade served as President and CEO of the Everest Group, Ltd., a global provider of insurance and reinsurance solutions. He also held senior executive leadership roles at Chubb, The Hartford and Progressive. Andrade has a distinguished record of public service, with experience in national security, international affairs and drug enforcement. He has held key roles in the U.S. federal government’s executive branch, including the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Drug Enforcement Administration and the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy. In recognition of his work in national security, he was awarded the Secretary of Defense Medal for Meritorious Civilian Service.

Andrade holds a Master of Arts in International Economics and Latin American Studies from the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University. He previously served as a member of CJC’s Dean’s Leadership Council and was honored as a UF Distinguished Alumnus in 2018.
