Erika Cooper joins UFCJC as Director of the Office of Careers and Corporate Partnerships
Erika Cooper, B.S. Advertising 1996, joined the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications (UFCJC) as the Director of the Office of Careers and Corporate Partnerships on Nov. 10, 2025.
In this role, she will lead industry recruitment and corporate partnership strategies for the UFCJC career fair, employer information sessions, job and internship postings and corporate sponsorships. She will assist with positioning UF students for long-term success through hands-on industry partnerships, real-world career experiences and a future-forward approach to job placement and employer collaboration.
Cooper has extensive media and communications experience in publishing, radio, television, social media and sports sponsorships, digital, CTV startups and Ai-powered AdTech consulting. Her roles included serving as TelevisaUnivision Senior Vice President of Local Digital Sales and Vice President of Advertising and Marketing at the Orlando Sentinel. She has also served on the boards of the Early Learning Coalition of Central Florida and the Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida.
