Jordan Alpert, University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Advertising assistant professor, is one of 10 recipients of a 2020 UF’s Excellence Award for Assistant Professors.

The awards honor junior faculty and recognize excellence in research. Each award is a one-time allocation of $5,000 in support of research that can be used to fund travel, equipment, books, graduate students, and other research-related expenses.

Alpert’s research focuses on health communication on cancer prevention and control.
