What are you teaching this semester?

What is your area of expertise?

Narrative Fiction Filmmaking

What research are you working on?

I am a writer, director, editor, and producer of films. I am currently finishing a series of short films shot on location in London and Seattle which will be edited into a single feature length film.

Significant other, children, pets?

I have been married to my wife Sarah for 15 years, We have two children: Jonathan (13) and Alexandra (11). Plus Confetti the Cat.

What excites you most about coming to Gainesville?

I see Gainesville as an untapped Hollywood backlot; a canvas for creative filmmaking with unique stories to tell and stunning visuals to bring them to life.

What accomplishments, personal or professional, are you most proud of?

I am fortunate to continue pursuing my dream as a filmmaker. I am proud that I have endured for over 20 years in a challenging, creative industry with my best years still ahead.

Your hero or biggest inspiration (alive or historical)?

Michelangelo Antonioni, Wong Kar-Wai, and Terrence Malick

What three things don’t we know about you?

Told Alex Trebek “I would like to make it a true Daily Double” on Jeopardy!

Hosted a radio show called “Route 66” playing American rock music over the airwaves in Savannah, Georgia

Made a film on the Greek Island home of my grandparents
