Innovation News Center Sports Director
Read Jeremy St. Louis’ hiring announcement.

What are you teaching this semester?
‘Intro to INC Sports’ and ‘Gator Gameday’ (our Gators FB pregame show on the lawn of Weimer Hall before every home game). I also oversee ESPN 1, 2, 3 immersions and WUFT-TV News ‘Midday’ and ‘First at 5’ sports immersions. Oh, and I also have a radio show – This Week in Gator Sports – on WRUF 98.1/ESPN Gainesville. I think that’s all of it.
What is your area of expertise?
TV/Radio Broadcasting – sports mostly. Worked Radio and TV news, also did TV weather, but spent 25y of my 28y career doing TV sports for three national (and international) sports networks in USA and Canada.
What excites you most about coming to Gainesville?
The opportunity to teach and mentor the next generations of broadcast professionals. UF has a tremendous reputation for producing quality broadcast journalists and I am excited to be a part of that and help grow that reputation.
What accomplishments, personal or professional, are you most proud of?
I’m proud to be among a very select few Canadians who have ever worked on-air at both a national sports network (CBS Sports) and an international sports network (beINSPORTS) in the United States. I’m also extremely proud to represent my country abroad and hold true to the ideals and traditions that have made us the envy of the world (kindness, diversity, and the BEST beer).
Your hero or biggest inspiration (alive or historical)?
Hero: Terry Fox (I highly recommend looking up his story); Inspiration: My High School Football Coach. Terry taught me (and all Canadians) that if you put your mind to it, there is nothing you cannot accomplish in life. Coach Jay Hetherington reinforced that and showed me that I could be much more than I ever dreamed I could be.
What three things don’t we know about you?
- Huge TV/Movie buff
- Big-time Gamer
- Before journalism, I planned to be a science teacher and grabbed a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Natural Science with minors in Chemistry and Psychology (and yes, I still read/watch Nat Geo regularly).
