The College of Journalism and Communications Ph.D. program is designed to develop knowledge, attitudes and research skills so graduates can make important contributions to various disciplines that intersect with mass communication.

The College supports graduate student research at the intersection of storytelling, the science of communication and social good. Our Ph.D. students publish in academic journals, present at top conferences and find careers at many of our nations top universities and research institutes.
