Kevin Winter Joins WRUF ESPN as Brand Manager
Kevin Winter has been named the new WRUF ESPN brand manager in the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Division of Media Properties.
Winter comes to WRUF from ESPN Radio, headquartered in Bristol, Connecticut. During his more than 20-year tenure, he anchored ESPN Radio SportsCenter and served as a studio host covering major sports, including Major League Baseball, the NFL, NBA and college athletics. He also contributed play-by-play for ESPN Radio’s college football coverage.
From 2005 to 2009, Winter hosted shows on 890 ESPN Radio in Boston. Earlier in his career, he worked as a writer and editor for SportsTicker for nine years and hosted “Sports Pulse” on CN8 for four years. Winter earned a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York.
WRUF ESPN is the flagship station for Florida Gators athletics and can be heard on 850 AM, 98.1 FM and 103.7 HD2 in Gainesville and online at wruf.com.
