CJC Alum to Be Inducted into the 2020 Georgia Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame

Glenn Burns, B.S. Broadcasting 1984, will be inducted into the 2020 Georgia Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame on Jan. 29 in Athens, Georgia. Burns is the chief meteorologist for WSB -TV Channel 2 Actions News’ Severe Weather Team 2 and appears during the 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. newscasts Monday through Friday.

Burns, an American Meteorological Society certified meteorologist, worked at WPTV-TV in West Palm Beach, Florida and KARE-TV in Minneapolis before joining the weather team at WSB-TV. While there he has won many awards including Best of Atlanta, Best of Cobb, Best of Gwinnett, Associated Press Weathercaster of the Year, and has been nominated for numerous Emmy Awards.
