  • Funding available: Budget requests by individual units (centers, schools, etc.) may range up to $10,000 and multiple collaborating units may apply for up to $25,000, depending on the large-scale scope of the interdisciplinary project and any cost sharing opportunities.
  • Period of performance: Summer B: June 29 through August 7, 2026
  • Program Background: Established in 2010 with support from the UF Office of the Provost, Creative B is a summer program for UF students that brings together creative resources and energies across the campus to provide unique opportunities during the Summer B term. The 2026 Creative B Summer Program will feature interdisciplinary activities from June 29-August 7 and then culminate in a one-day summit around the theme of Explorations of Embodiment in Fall.
  • Program Objectives: UF faculty and staff are invited to apply for catalyst grants to support the organization of interdisciplinary arts activities related to the 2026 theme of Explorations of Embodiment that will occur during Summer B: June 29 through August 7, 2026. The theme is intentionally broad and proposals that creatively address any aspect of the theme are welcome from any field or unit on campus (however, we encourage collaboration with faculty or staff from the College of the Arts). Priority will be given to proposals featuring the following:
    • Collaboration: Leveraging collective resources and talents of creative programs at UF.
    • Innovation: Supporting projects, research programs, activities, classes, and performances.
    • Community Engagement: Attracting students, alumni, and community members to participate through the arts. 
    • Interdisciplinary Creativity: Building new programmatic structures to encourage strategic partnerships.
