Michael Connelly Named “Lifetime Contribution to the Genre” Guest of Honor at Bouchercon 2025
Michael Connelly, B.S. Journalism 1980 and Hall of Fame 2003, will be the “Lifetime Contribution to the Genre” Guest of Honor at Bouchercon 2025, the World Mystery Convention, in New Orleans from Sept. 4-6.
The annual gathering, named after Anthony Boucher, the distinguished mystery fiction critic, editor and author, unites the mystery and crime fiction community. Its mission is to introduce, attract and promote readers and writers by producing outstanding, inclusive events to grow and sustain the mystery community.
Connelly is the bestselling author of forty-one novels and one work of non-fiction. He is the executive producer of Bosch and Bosch: Legacy, two Amazon Studios original drama series that are based on his bestselling character Harry Bosch. He is the executive producer of The Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix and is the creator and host of the podcasts Murder Book and The Wonderland Murders & The Secret History Of Hollywood.
He is also the executive producer of the documentary films, Sound Of Redemption: The Frank Morgan Story and Tales of the American. In 2023 he received the Mystery Writers of America Grand Masters Award honoring lifetime achievement in mystery writing important contributions to the genre.
