Thirteen UFCJC Alumni Selected for the Prestigious 2024 Gator100 List

Thirteen University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications (UFCJC) alumni from 11 Florida companies have been named to UF’s 2024 Gator100, which honors the 100 fastest-growing, Gator-owned or Gator-led businesses in the world.

Inclusion on the Gator100 list is competitive and considered one of the most prestigious recognitions for alumni who are business leaders.

The 2024 Gator100 UFCJC list includes:

  • Ron Bilu, B.S. Advertising 1998, and Nicholas Rossoletti, B.S. Telecommunication 2004, managing partners of Bilu Law, P.A. with offices in Pompano Beach and Miami, Florida. The firm specializes in real estate, bankruptcy, litigation and business matters.
  • Michelle Calcote King, B.S. Public Relations 1998, M.A.M.C. 2000, principal and president of Reputation Ink, a marketing and public relations agency for business-to-business and professional services based in Jacksonville, Florida.
  • Josh Firestone, B.S. Advertising 2018, chief marketing officer of Bearbottom Clothing based in St. Petersburg, Florida. The company features versatile menswear produced in Bangladesh. The company provides jobs and donates clothing through a buy-one-give-one model.
  • Jose Navarro, B.S. Telecommunication 1998, and Mathew Tainow, B.S. Telecommunication 1996, founding partners of Park Bar in Atlanta, Georgia. The establishment features food, bourbon and craft beer.
  • Adam Saban, B.S. Telecommunication 1988, co-founder and senior partner at Shuster, Saban & Estevez. The firm specializes in personal injury, workplace violations and PIP claims for medical professionals. They have nine locations throughout Florida.
  • Wesley Snapp, B.S. Advertising 2002, president of Snapper Industrial Products, an Atlanta-based distributor for industrial pipe, valves and fittings as well as a wide range of industrial tools and truck and van equipment.
  • Helen Stefan-Moreau, B.S. Public Relations 1988, president and CEO of The Midtown Group, a woman-owned business based in Washington, D.C. that has provided flexible staffing solutions across the nation for 34 years.
  • Jennifer Norman, B.S. Advertising 2008, vice president of Customer Growth for Novi AMS in Tampa, Florida. The company specializes in association management software.
  • Lee Ossin, B.S. Public Relations 2002, a business broker intermediary at Crowne Atlantic Business Brokers. Based in Orlando, Florida, the company facilitates the sale of companies and businesses in Florida and throughout the Southeast.
  • Margaret Truitt Sosa, B.S. Telecommunication 2006, chief marketing officer at Embark Safety in Orlando, Florida. The company uses motor vehicle registration monitoring technology to check employees’ driving records and send to alerts to employers when needed.
  • Julie Wilson-Watson, B.S. Telecommunication 1984, president of JAWW Media + Marketing. The boutique radio marketing agency specializing in crafting custom, multi-channel campaigns is located in Weston, Florida.

The 2024 Gator100 10th anniversary Celebration will be held on April 19- 20 on the UF campus.
