In her paper, “The Construction of Feminist Media Practices in Argentina and the United States: How Feminist Actors Intervene and Create Media for Gender Justice,” Wagner analyzed how feminist activists, professionals, and experts in anti-violence organizations develop media and communication practices to fight gender-based violence. She focused on cross-country similarities and differences in Argentina and the U.S. and evaluated mainstream media narratives of gender-based violence, their strategies to counter mainstream representations of this issue, and their approach to language and social change.

According to Wagner, her findings indicate that analysis of these cross-country feminist media practices present different challenges and strengths for the promotion of gender equality in society.
