Two CJC Students Recognized at 2022 PRNews Social Impact Awards

Two University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications students were recognized on April 20, 2022 at the 2022 PRNEWS Social Impact Awards. Doctoral student Yufan “Sunny” Qin received the Graduate Student of the Year Diversity Leaders Award and Catalina Santana Hernandez, B.S. Public Relations 2021, received an Honorable Mention in the Undergraduate Student of the Year Diversity Leaders Competition.

The Social Impact Awards honor communicators who use their platforms to better their community and the global community at large. Winners are the campaigns, initiatives, professionals, teams, rising stars, and lifetime pioneers that are helping to usher in a diverse, equitable future and redefine organizations’ role in the fight for global change.

The awards were presented at the Social Impact Awards & Summit at the Ritz Carlton, Pentagon city.
