New York Times Hosting Interviews at Careers in Communication Fair

The New York Times will be participating in the Careers in Communication Fair in the following ways:

Tabling at Careers in Communication Fair – March 16, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. (Reitz Union Grand Ballroom)

Ms. Carla Correa, deputy director for NYT’s Early Career Programs, will meet students at the fair from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Ms. Correa will share information about the Times Fellowship (a post-graduate program) and the New York Times Corps (a new mentoring program for freshmen, sophomores, and some juniors, especially for underrepresented groups, such as students of color and/or students from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds).

Note the fair is from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., but Ms. Correa will only be available at the event for the first two hours.

Interviewing students interested in Times Fellowship, by invitation only – March 16, 12:30-4 p.m. (Career Connections Center)

Ms. Correa will interview students who are interested in the Times Fellowship, by invitation. Interested students may submit a resume to be considered for a 20-minute interview time. All majors are welcome to apply; applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions. Note that applications for the 2022 fellowship cohort (beginning June 2022) are closed. Students must be interested in the June 2023 cohort and must have graduated by that time.

Resume submission is now open via the link below. The application deadline is Friday, March 4, at 11:59 p.m. Invited students will receive an email to select an interview time on Gator CareerLink and must sign up by Monday, March 14, at 11:59 PM.
