Fond Memory: Doing My Best Khloe Kardashian

Even though I am a (somewhat) recent graduate, I have plenty of stories to share from my time at the CJC. Where do I even begin?

Perhaps one of my favorites was during [Telecommunication Associate] Professor Tim Sorel’s “Fundamentals of Production” class. During our Wednesday afternoon lab, our class was split into teams and we were tasked with writing, staging, filming and directing our own talk show. Somehow, my team ended up doing our own version of “The Wendy Williams Show” and my classmate David and I were cast as Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom (respectively). It was quite a stretch, but we owned it.

That was some of the most fun I had in a class at the CJC. There was a lot of laughter on set, which provided for a really great atmosphere during filming. That was the class where I first connected with a lot of my CJC friends – we all worked well together as we approached the latter half of our undergraduate careers. I still talk to some of them today! I’m grateful for Professor Sorel’s class, Houston Wells for being a great TA and leader, and for David for being a truly excellent Lamar to my Khloe.
