Camp begins on June 20, 2015
The UF CJC Summer Institute and the Advanced Workshop are five-night and three-night night media and communications camps at the UF College of Journalism and Communications. Previously known as the Summer Journalism Institute, the camps will now cover all disciplines offered at our College: advertising, broadcast, journalism and public relations.
Get a Head Start on College
Each student will be taking classes taught by professors from the UF College of Journalism and Communications, nationally-known instructors and our best students. They will stay in a UF dorm, eat at the UF dining halls and experience life as a college student. We want each student to not only get a taste of the “college life,” but to leave our camp with a better understanding of his or her career path.
Who Should Attend?
Incoming freshman through seniors in high school
Students with a passion for storytelling
Newspaper and yearbook members (not required to be in either)
Advisers can sign up for information and resources to bring back to the classroom here.
You may apply for the camp via our Eventbrite page. A credit card deposit of the camp tuition is required to hold you place. Refunds will be credited back to your credit card should you decide to not enroll or ask for a refund before May 15.
