Bio
Mike Loizzo has more than 20 years of experience in journalism and communications. He has worked at radio and TV stations in the Midwest and Southeast over his broadcasting career. He received news reporting and producing awards from the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) and the Public Media Journalists Association (PMJA), as well as a MarCom award for sports reporting.
Mike earned his bachelor’s degree at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and a master’s degree at the University of Illinois-Springfield where he covered the Illinois legislature and state government. He has taught journalism courses at UF, Purdue University, and Florida South Western State College.
