Habib (ADV 82) speaks to graduate “Audience Analysis” class

Mitchell Habib, Executive Vice President for Global Business Services for The Nielsen Company, spoke to Dr. Amy Jo Coffey’s Audience Analysis class (RTV 6508) on October 8, 2010.

Habib gave an overview of Nielsen’s corporate structure, products and services and presented a case study involving the Walt Disney Company. He also discussed new measurement technologies and strategies and shared career insights with students. “We are fortunate to have someone of Mitchell’s caliber representing the University of Florida at a global consumer and audience research firm such as Nielsen,” said Dr. Coffey. “Moreover, we are grateful that he is willing to give back to the College and invest in our students.”

Habib was appointed to his role as EVP in March 2007 and is responsible for global operations, production, sourcing, real estate and IT services across Nielsen businesses and functions. He also oversees systems that support information development and delivery to Nielsen’s global client base as well as applications, IT infrastructure and facilities associated with day-to-day operations of the company.

Mitchell Habib graduated from the College of Journalism and Communications in Advertising in 1982 and received his Masters of Public Administration from UF in 1984.
