Graduate School Preeminence Award

To attract the top Ph.D. prospects, the University of Florida  now offers a Graduate School Preeminence Award (GSPA) to the most qualified incoming doctoral students.

The University’s $33,000 annual research/graduate assistantship stipend will be awarded to five new doctoral students at the College of Journalism and Communications.   The College will award the highly competitive GSPA based on the following criteria:

  • Highest standardized scores and GPAs
  • Evidence of publication promise
  • Strongly developed research area
  • Relevant professional experience
