Student Mental Health

Weimer Hall Room 3032

Did you know that, in the last year, 15% of college students in the U.S. suffered depression symptoms that affected their academic performance. Sixty percent have experienced overwhelming anxiety.  And 8% have active suicidal ideations. Faculty and staff members are sometimes the first or only option for these students to find the help they need.  But we don’t always know how best to respond. UF psychologist Gizem Toska and Dean of Students Office Care Team member Tanja Philhower will lead a workshop to prepare you to address their needs and get them the help they need.
