UF Religious Observance Policy:

Students who notify their instructors in advance that they will be observing a religious holiday of their faith will be excused from class. Students observing religious holidays will not be penalized for their absence and will be given a reasonable amount of time to make up material or activities.

Below we’ve posted some of the most reverent or popular holidays of several faiths, including Buddhism, Christian, Islam, Judaism and Hinduism. As a consideration for observant faculty and staff members, please check this 2020-2021 academic year religious observance calendar before scheduling meetings.
