Marketing Content Writer

The content creatorrole is responsible for researching and writing content for our newsletters, blog, case studies, webinars, post-sale customer content, ebooks, and more. The role will also be responsible for proofreading the written content of others. In addition to writing, research and proofreading, this role will support the Customer Success and Marketing Team with content for upcoming events, conferences, promotions, and other inbound/outbound campaigns. 

The role reports to the Marketing Content Specialist and the Customer Success Lead. 


  • Create content for our website, social media, newsletters, events, and other channels
  • Create content for sales team initiatives, including events and customer meetings
  • Manage Kintone’s media and content libraries
  • Provide editing support to the marketing, sales, and customer success team
  • Interview customers, Kintone team members, and partners for content
  • Research industry trends to create new ideas for the blog, website, and other campaigns
  • Track, measure, and report on content effort and results
  • Review Japanese-to-English translated customer success stories
  • Coordinate with vendors including agencies, writers, designers, and others for projects
  • Identify people on the Kintone team and in our network who can contribute to articles
  • Write for search engine optimization (SEO) and incorporate keywords where needed 

Minimum experience/qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field (Communications, Marketing, Business, English, Creative Writing, etc.)
  • 1-2+ years of experience developing lead-generating content in the form of landing pages, blog posts, SM writing, sales materials, ebooks, case studies, and the like
  • Familiarity with the different types of copy emails, newsletters, blogs, social media, and paid ads require
  • A very strong understanding of tone and writing styles; the right person must be able to shift tone and writing style depending on the type of content, the audience, and the media channel
  • A desire to bring their voice to their work while still working within the brand
  • Knowledge of SEO and grasp of how websites drive traffic and generate leads
  • High level of professionalism when interacting face-to-face with customers, vendors, and business partners
  • Project management skills to manage multiple content creation projects simultaneously
  • Desire and ability to be part of a highly collaborative marketing team
  • Superior copy writing and editing skills; highly detail-oriented
  • Ability to work autonomously on tasks, and to bring new ideas, strategies and directions to the table and be able to execute on them
  • Ability to handle and incorporate feedback into work where needed
  • Understanding of Japanese a plus

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator (or a strong willingness to learn)
  • Previous experience in a technology company or writing on software
  • Familiarity with marketing automation platforms such as Hubspot
  • Experience with GoToWebinar or other webinar platforms
  • Familiarity with the video production process
  • Understanding of how design and writing work together in marketing (or a strong willingness to learn)
