Lissy Calienes selected for 2026 FIAP Grand Jury to evaluate international artwork submissions

Elizabeth “Lissy” Calienes, University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Advertising associate instructional professor, recently served on the Grand Jury for the 2026 Festival Iberoamericano de la Publicidad ((FIAP).

Calienes evaluated creative work from across Latin America and the Ibero-American region. FIAP is one of the region’s leading advertising and creative festivals spanning across the Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking advertising industry, including Latin America, Spain and Portugal.

Calienes is an accomplished creative strategist, visual communicator and educator with a career spanning three decades in advertising, shopper marketing, graphic design, retail design and film production. She holds a doctoral degree emphasizing authenticity in communications and design.

She has also served as the dean of the Roger Hatchuel Student Academy, part of the Cannes Lions Festival in France. The longest-running Lions Academy is a prestigious program that takes place during the festival and includes the top 30 student applicants from 30 countries. The program provides an intense, immersive learning experience during the creative industry’s most celebrated event.
