UFCJC alumna named to the Time100 Creators of 2026 Lifestyle leaders list
Galey Alix Gravenstein, B.S. Public Relations 2007, CEO of Galey Alix Design and former vice president and regional director for Goldman Sachs Asset Management, has been named to the Lifestyle leaders list of Time100 Creators of 2026. The list highlights 100 of the world’s most influential digital voices.

Gravenstein was recognized for her efforts to chronicle everyday culture, trends and experiences. Galey Alix, a finance professional turned home designer, can complete dramatic makeovers to multiple rooms in a single weekend. Her videos of transforming living rooms, dining rooms and more under tight time constraints have earned her an audience of 1.8 million on Instagram and 2.8 million on TikTok.
Her renovation skills also landed her a show on HBO Max in 2023, “Home in a Heartbeat,” although she walked away after one season due to the stress it placed on her mental health.
Gravenstein will release her first book (which doubles as décor for shelves, something she has guidance for), You Can Do Beautiful Things: An Approachable Guide to Creating Spaces You Love, in August 2026. For those daunted by the idea of a long, drawn-out home renovation, the Galey Alix approach may be for you.
TIME magazine will host the second annual TIME100 Creators event on July 30 in New York City to celebrate and convene this year’s listmakers.
Gravenstein was also honored as part of the University of Florida Alumni Association’s “40 Under 40” Awards in 2023. The awards honor young alumni whose achievements positively reflect UF.
