David Kamens named UFCJC Media Properties Media Services Production Manager

David Kamens has been named the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications (UFCJC) Media Properties Media Services Production Manager.

Kamens is a five-time Emmy Award-winning producer and has built a career creating compelling programming for national, regional and digital audiences. His experience includes senior production roles with NBC Sports Northwest and Golf Channel/NBC, where he developed original series, directed live sports coverage and managed complex productions involving on-air talent, technical crews and creative teams.

He has created or developed 19 original series, including 100 episodes of “Playing Lessons from the Pros” and has worked on major productions involving the Olympics, professional basketball and golf.

Kamens is committed to mentorship and has spent years hiring, training and developing both on-camera and behind-the-scenes talent. He has coached broadcasters working at network and regional levels and is skilled at helping people strengthen their storytelling, presentation, and production abilities.
