Kim Fowler named Media Production, Management, and Technology lecturer beginning fall 2026
Kim Fowler has joined the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Department of Media Production, Management, and Technology (MPMT), as a lecturer beginning fall 2026. Previously, she served as a 2024-25 MPMT visiting lecturer, developing and teaching courses in media management, branded content, commercial production, audience analytics and storytelling.

She has also played a significant role in expanding immersive and experiential opportunities for students. Through work with The Agency, study abroad programs and industry experiences such as Sundance Film Festival and Gotham Week, she has helped students connect classroom learning with professional practice and to build confidence as emerging media leaders.
Fowler has more than 25 years of professional and academic experience. She built a career spanning media production, advertising, producing, project management and higher education, blending real-world practice with a passion for mentorship and teaching.
Prior to joining UF, she spent more than a decade with Ogilvy/Hogarth, where she led production operations and managed campaigns for globally recognized brands including IKEA, Coca-Cola, IBM and American Express. Her industry experience as a producer, creative collaborator and entrepreneur provides students with valuable insight into the realities and opportunities of today’s evolving media landscape.
Fowler has a bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication and a master’s degree in mass communication from the University of Florida. She was also recognized as the College’s Outstanding Graduate Student in Professional Studies in 2022.
