UFCJC Advertising faculty and graduate students honored at 2026 AAA Conference

University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications (UFCJC) Advertising faculty and graduate students were honored at the 2026 American Academy of Advertising (AAA) Conference in Austin, Texas from March 26-29.

One of the organization’s highest honors, AAA Fellow, was bestowed on Debbie Treise, retired UFCJC senior associate dean for Graduate Studies and Research and Advertising professor. This designation recognizes a lifetime of achievement in the advancement of advertising scholarship, education and service to the discipline.

Other honors at the conference include Assistant Professor Won Ki Moon receiving the Research Fellowship Award, Associate Professor Juliana Fernandes named Best Reviewer for the Journal of Current Issues and Research in Advertising and Advertising Professor and Department Chair Huan Chen selected as Best Reviewer for the Journal of Interactive Advertising. In addition, doctoral student Xinyi Zuo received the AAA Non-Dissertation Research Grant.

These national accomplishments reflect the excellence, scholarship and professional leadership of UFCJC Advertising faculty and students.
