Lindita Camaj Elected 2025-27 AEJMC Council of Divisions Vice Chair
Lindita Camaj, University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Journalism associate professor, has been elected vice chair of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC) Council of Divisions.
Her term will begin in October 2025 and will continue through the 2025-26 and 2026-27 academic years. She will then automatically move into the chair position.
Carmaj has been an AEJMC member since 2008 and has held leadership roles across three major divisions over the past decade. She currently serves as the research chair for the Newspaper and Online News Division (NOND) and was recently elected to the AEJMC Standing Committee on Research. Her previous service includes terms as chair, vice chair and research chair of the International Communication Division (INTC), the Lynda Lee Kaid Research Chair and the Political Communication Division (PLCD) teaching chair.
In these roles, she worked to expand AEJMC’s international membership and foster partnerships that support cross-cultural exchange and collaborations between academic and industry stakeholders.
